Battery-Powered Exit Alarm

The Detex EB – Exit Alarm with Battery is designed for primary and secondary exits where unauthorized use of the door needs to be immediately identified.

When the alarm is armed and the pushpad is activated, the built-in alarm sounds at approximately 100 dB.

Because the system operates from a standard 9V battery, no dedicated building power supply is required for normal EB operation.

Cylinder Arming & Dogging

The completed EB configuration uses a single mortise cylinder to control both alarm arming and dogging functions.

The cylinder provides:

• Key-controlled alarm arming

• Key-controlled alarm disarming

• 1/8-turn cylinder dogging

• Authorized free-passage operation when required

Mortise cylinder is sold separately unless specifically stated.

Pushpad Monitoring

The EB system monitors movement of the exit-device pushpad.

When the alarm is armed, operation of the pushpad immediately triggers the audible alarm, making this system well suited for:

• Retail loss-prevention exits

• Warehouse emergency exits

• Stockrooms

• Employee exits

• Commercial back doors

• Distribution centers

• Industrial facilities
