This 4513-35-IB configuration features a 1-1/8" backset, zinc-plated steel construction, reversible handing, and Adams Rite's convenient latchbolt holdback function.

Lock Body Only – 4513 Configuration

The 4513 is the body-only version of the Adams Rite 4510 Series.

It is supplied without the faceplate and without the strike plate, making it ideal for service applications where the existing compatible components can be reused.

The 35 configuration uses a:

1-1/8" cylinder backset

Backset is measured from the front edge of the door to the centerline of the mortise cylinder.

Always verify the existing door preparation before ordering.

Traffic-Control Holdback

The Adams Rite 4510 Series provides a convenient bolt holdback function.

When the latchbolt is fully retracted, a reverse turn of the key holds the bolt in the retracted position. This allows the door to operate freely for two-way traffic during business hours.

When holdback is released, the latch returns to normal operation for controlled entry.

This makes the 4513 ideal for:

Deadlocking Auxiliary Bolt

The all-metal auxiliary bolt deadlocks the main latchbolt when the door closes.

The 4513 accepts a standard commercial mortise cylinder with an Adams Rite MS® cam.

• 1-5/32" diameter

• MS® cam

Mortise cylinder is sold separately.

Interchangeability

The 4510 Series is designed around the traditional Adams Rite MS® preparation and can replace compatible MS1850S deadlocks of the same backset and faceplate configuration without modifying the stile.

The 4510 Series does not, however, provide the same maximum-security level as an MS® Deadlock.
