Upgrade or repair a commercial storefront opening with the Adams Rite MS1853A-350 MS® Maximum Security Hookbolt Deadlock Body.

Designed for narrow-stile aluminum doors using the industry-standard Adams Rite MS Prep, the MS1853A-350 features a heavy-duty pivoting hookbolt that engages the jamb or strike to provide strong resistance against prying and attempts to separate the door from the frame.

This configuration features a 1-1/8" backset and is supplied as the lock body only, allowing the appropriate faceplate, strike, and cylinder to be selected separately for the specific opening.

Maximum Security Hookbolt

Unlike a conventional straight deadbolt, the MS® hookbolt pivots into the strike when locked.

The hook shape helps resist attempts to:

• Pry the door away from the jamb
• Spread the door and frame apart
• Lift compatible sliding doors from their track
• Force the locking point apart

Adams Rite specifies a 13/16" throw for its MS Series hookbolt deadlocks.

1-1/8" Backset

The MS1853A-350 is configured with a:

Backset is measured from the edge of the door to the centerline of the cylinder.

Always verify the existing lock preparation before ordering, as Adams Rite MS deadlocks are available in multiple backsets.
