Complete or repair a commercial pneumatic safety-edge system with the AS-1 3-Wire Commercial Door Safety Edge Air Switch.

Designed for commercial overhead and rolling door operators, the AS-1 connects to a pressurized pneumatic sensing hose installed inside the door's bottom seal. When the sensing edge contacts an obstruction, displaced air activates the switch, which signals the compatible door operator to stop or reverse door movement.

The switch can be configured for either Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) operation, providing flexibility for a variety of commercial door operator control circuits.

How It Works

A pneumatic sensing hose is installed within the compatible bottom seal of the commercial door.

When the door encounters an obstruction:

1. The bottom sensing edge compresses.

2. Air pressure travels through the pneumatic hose.

3. The AS-1 air switch activates.

4. The switch changes electrical contact state.

5. The compatible operator receives the signal and stops or reverses the door.
