Improve pedestrian safety around automatic doors with the BEA 10SSTII SUPERSCAN-T II Active Infrared Safety Sensor.
Designed to mount directly to the moving door, the SUPERSCAN-T II uses active infrared technology with background suppression and triangulation to detect the presence of pedestrians while an automatic door is opening and closing.
The 10SSTII configuration includes one Primary and one Secondary sensor in a 34.5" housing, providing expanded detection coverage for compatible automatic swing, revolving, folding, and low-energy door applications.

Active Infrared Presence Detection
The SUPERSCAN-T uses active infrared sensing and triangulation to determine whether a pedestrian or object is present in the monitored area.
Because it provides presence detection rather than motion-only detection, the sensor can continue detecting someone who remains stationary within the detection zone.
This is particularly important around automatic swing doors where users may pause or stand within the path of the moving door.
Primary + Secondary Sensor Configuration
The 10SSTII contains:
-
1 Primary Sensor
-
1 Secondary Sensor
Both modules are installed within the 34.5" SUPERSCAN-T housing.
The Primary controls communication with the automatic door operator, while the Secondary expands the overall detection area.
Each module's detection zone can be independently adjusted to better fit the specific opening.
