Detex 08D x 626 Lever Trim (LHR) – Classroom Function

10 Series Exit Device Trim | S Lever | Left Hand Reverse | 626 Satin Chrome | Less Cylinder

Provide convenient key-controlled access through a compatible Detex exit device with the Detex 08D-S-626-LHR Classroom Lever Trim.

Designed for compatible Detex 10 Series rim exit devices, the 08D uses a key locks/unlocks lever function. Authorized personnel can use the key to place the exterior lever in either the locked or unlocked condition, making it well suited for classrooms, offices, institutional buildings, and other openings where exterior access needs to be changed throughout the day.

This configuration features the standard S-style lever, LHR – Left Hand Reverse handing, and 626 / US26D Satin Chrome finish.

Classroom Function

The 08D function allows an authorized user to change the exterior lever between locked and unlocked operation with a key.

Unlocked

The outside lever remains active for normal entry.

Locked

The outside lever is secured against unauthorized entry while normal egress through the interior exit device remains available.

Unlike a storeroom function that automatically returns to locked when the key is removed, the 08D remains in the selected locked or unlocked condition until changed again with the key.

LHR – Left Hand Reverse

This configuration is specified:

LHR – Left Hand Reverse

Detex notes that the 08D is field reversible, although specifying the required handing helps ensure the trim is configured appropriately for the opening.

S Lever

The S lever is Detex's standard lever style for the 08D wide escutcheon trim.

Detex wide lever trims incorporate a break-away clutch design intended to help reduce permanent damage if excessive force or vandalism is applied to the lever.

626 Satin Chrome Finish

626 / US26D = Satin / Brushed Chrome

This finish provides a clean commercial appearance that coordinates with common satin chrome architectural hardware.
