Provide convenient key-controlled exterior access through a compatible Detex exit device with the Detex 08D x 626 Classroom Lever Trim – RHR.

Designed for compatible Detex 10 Series exit devices, the 08D provides a key locks/unlocks lever function. Authorized personnel can use a key to place the exterior lever in either the locked or unlocked condition, making it ideal for classrooms, offices, institutional facilities, and other openings where exterior access needs to change throughout the day.

This configuration features Right Hand Reverse (RHR) handing and a 626 / US26D Satin Chrome finish.

Classroom Function

The 08D function allows authorized personnel to change the outside lever between locked and unlocked operation using a key.

Unlocked

The exterior lever remains active, allowing normal entry through the door.

Locked

The exterior lever is secured against unauthorized entry while normal egress through the interior exit device remains available.

Unlike the Detex 09D Storeroom function, which returns to locked when the key is removed, the 08D remains in the selected locked or unlocked condition until it is changed again with the key.
