Designed for secure openings requiring continuous hardwired operation, the EAX-2500S sounds an approximately 100 dB audible alarm when the monitored door is opened without authorization. Its compact surface-mount design fits a standard 4" × 4" electrical box, making it an excellent choice for retail, warehouse, institutional, and commercial security applications.

The EAX-2500S also provides field-selectable operating features, external signaling capabilities, and optional battery backup for additional flexibility.

How the EAX-2500S Works

Once armed, the EAX-2500S monitors the position of the door through a compatible magnetic door contact.

When the monitored door is opened:

1. The magnetic contact changes state.

2. The EAX-2500S detects the unauthorized opening.

3. The approximately 100 dB alarm activates.

4. A relay output can signal compatible external security equipment.

5. Authorized personnel use the key control to reset or operate the alarm.

The device also supports configurable bypass and rearming functions for facilities that need controlled access through normally secured openings.

Inside Key Control

The EAX-2500S uses a mortise cylinder with a standard Yale-type cam for authorized operation.

The patented cam assembly automatically compensates for different compatible cylinder sizes without requiring traditional spacers.

Mortise cylinder is sold separately unless specifically ordered as a factory-installed cylinder option.

The EAX-2500S is the alarm unit configuration, not the complete EAX-2500SK installation kit.
