Upgrade or repair a compatible Detex Value Series exit device with the SIFV-EB-CD Battery Alarm Slide-In Filler Kit, available for both 36" and 48" panic devices.

The EB configuration combines battery-powered exit alarming, pushpad monitoring, and cylinder dogging into the slide-in filler assembly, providing an effective loss-prevention solution without requiring a dedicated hardwired power supply.

When the alarm is armed and the exit-device pushpad is activated, the built-in 100 dB alarm sounds to immediately alert employees, management, or security personnel to an unauthorized exit.

Battery-Powered Exit Alarm

The Detex EB Exit Alarm with Battery is designed for primary and secondary exits where unauthorized use needs to be immediately identified.

When the device is armed, movement of the pushpad activates the internal 100 dB alarm.

Because the EB system operates from a standard 9V battery, it provides a self-contained alarm solution without requiring normal building power.

Cylinder Arming & Dogging

The EB-CD configuration uses a compatible mortise cylinder to control alarm and dogging functions.

The cylinder provides:

• Key-controlled alarm arming

• Key-controlled alarm disarming

• Cylinder dogging

• 1/8-turn dogging operation

• Authorized free-passage operation when required

Mortise cylinder is sold separately unless specifically stated otherwise.

Pushpad Monitoring

The EB system monitors operation of the exit-device pushpad.

When the alarm is armed, pressing the pushpad activates the audible alarm, making this configuration particularly useful for:
