Designed for loss prevention and unauthorized-exit monitoring, the V40-EB sounds an audible alarm whenever the pushpad is activated while the system is armed.

Available for 36" or 48" doors, the CD – Cylinder Dogging configuration uses a mortise cylinder for both alarm control and dogging, providing convenient key-controlled operation without requiring a hardwired power supply.

100 dB Battery Exit Alarm

The EB – Exit Alarm with Battery function is designed for primary and secondary exits where unauthorized use needs to be immediately detected.

When the device is armed and someone presses the pushpad:

• The exit device allows normal life-safety egress

• The internal alarm activates

• An approximately 100 dB audible warning alerts nearby personnel

• Management or security personnel are immediately notified of the exit attempt

The alarm operates from a standard 9V battery, making the V40-EB an excellent solution where running dedicated electrical power to the door is impractical.

Cylinder Dogging – CD

The CD cylinder dogging configuration allows a compatible mortise cylinder to control both the alarm and dogging functions.

The single mortise cylinder provides:

• Alarm arming

• Alarm disarming

• Cylinder dogging

• Authorized pushpad hold-down

• 1/8-turn dogging operation

When dogged, the pushpad and latch remain retracted for push/pull operation.

Mortise cylinder is sold separately unless specifically ordered with the device.

Arming & Rearm Functions

The Detex EB system provides visual and audible indicators to help the user confirm alarm status.

Depending on field configuration, the device supports:

• Key-controlled rearming

• Approximately 2-minute automatic rearm

• Armed status indication

• Disarmed status indication
