Add controlled egress protection to commercial and institutional openings with the Detex V40 EE Value Series Delayed Egress Rim Exit Device.

Designed for applications requiring additional security while maintaining life-safety egress, the EE delayed-egress function sounds an approximately 100 dB alarm when an unauthorized exit attempt is made and provides a 15-second delayed release before allowing egress.

This configuration is supplied for a 36" door, features a 628 Satin Aluminum finish, and is provided less power supply for installations where the required compatible Detex power supply is supplied separately.

Delayed Egress Operation

When an exit attempt is made, the V40 EE activates its audible alarm and begins the delayed-egress sequence. The door remains secured during the programmed 15-second delay, giving personnel time to respond before egress is permitted.

A compatible fire alarm connection provides immediate system override during an emergency as required by the delayed-egress system design.

The V40 EE requires a compatible 24VDC filtered and regulated power supply and proper fire-alarm integration for delayed-egress operation. Confirm the existing system and available power capacity before ordering.
