This 36-inch wide stile rim exit device features Detex's EE delayed egress function, providing a 15-second delayed release when the pushpad is activated. An audible alarm alerts personnel during an attempted exit, helping deter unauthorized egress and giving staff time to respond.

This configuration includes Less Dogging (LD), a 99 surface strike, and an FC3 3-foot flexible conduit for transferring electrical wiring to the device. The PSO/PS0 configuration is supplied without the Detex power supply, making it ideal for applications where a compatible Detex power supply is already installed or where multiple devices are being powered from an appropriate system.

Finished in 628 / US28 Satin Aluminum Clear Anodized, the V40 combines heavy-duty commercial construction with a clean architectural appearance.

Delayed Egress Operation

When an unauthorized user attempts to exit by depressing the pushpad, the device initiates its delayed-egress sequence and audible alarm. After the required delay period, the door permits egress.

The delayed-egress system can also interface with the building's fire alarm system to provide immediate release during a fire emergency when properly installed and configured.
