Detex V40EE-PS0-CD-628-99-36 Delayed Egress Exit Device
Value Series Rim Exit Device | 15-Second Delayed Egress | Cylinder Dogging | 36" | 628 Aluminum | Less Power Supply
Add controlled delayed egress to commercial exit doors with the Detex V40EE-PS0-CD-628-99-36 Value Series Delayed Egress Exit Device.
Designed for applications where unauthorized exiting needs to be discouraged while maintaining required egress operation, the V40EE provides a 15-second delayed release and an approximately 100 dB audible alarm when an exit attempt is initiated. The device uses latchbolt monitoring and requires connection to a compatible 24VDC filtered and regulated power supply.
This configuration features cylinder dogging, a 99 surface strike, 628 clear anodized aluminum finish, and a 36" device. The PS0 option means the power supply is not included.

-
The approximately 100 dB alarm sounds.
-
The door remains secured during the 15-second delay.
-
After the delay expires, egress is permitted.
-
The system can be reset and rearmed by authorized personnel.
The fire alarm system must interface with the delayed-egress system so the delay can be overridden during a fire emergency as required for the approved installation.
PS0 – Less Power Supply
This specific configuration includes the PS0 option, meaning:
The Detex power supply is NOT included.
A compatible 24VDC filtered and regulated Detex power supply is required for proper delayed-egress operation.
Detex notes that the standard EE power supply can operate both devices on a pair of doors, allowing the second device to be ordered with the PS0 Less Power Supply option.
Cylinder Dogging – CD
The CD cylinder dogging configuration allows authorized key operation of the device.
A compatible mortise cylinder is required for applicable key-controlled functions.
Cylinder is not included unless specifically ordered with a factory-installed cylinder or IC housing option.
