Designed for gates, exterior doors, garden centers, healthcare facilities, retail loss-prevention openings, and other controlled exits, the WDE EasyKit provides a 15-second delayed release with a 100 dB alarm when an unauthorized exit attempt occurs.

Unlike delayed-egress systems that rely on an electromagnetic lock, the V40EEX-W system uses the panic device itself to provide delayed exit control, simplifying the opening while maintaining code-compliant life-safety operation.

Delayed Egress Operation

When an exit attempt is made, the system initiates its delayed-egress sequence and sounds an audible alarm.

After the required 15-second delay, the opening permits egress according to the system configuration and applicable life-safety requirements.

A 1–3 second field-adjustable nuisance delay is also available to help reduce accidental activation.

Fire Alarm Integration

The WDE EasyKit provides a fire-alarm override connection at the controller/power supply.

When properly integrated, the fire-alarm system can override the delayed-egress function to provide immediate release as required by applicable life-safety codes.
