Complete Perimeter Protection

A properly sealed commercial door requires protection around both the frame perimeter and the bottom of the door.

This kit addresses both areas:

Head + Jambs: Perimeter gasket
Door Bottom: Nylon brush sweep

Together, these components help create a more complete weather seal than either product used alone.

Helps Improve Energy Efficiency

Gaps around commercial doors can allow conditioned air to escape while outside air enters the building.

Reducing these gaps can help:

• Reduce unwanted air infiltration

• Improve occupant comfort

• Reduce drafts

• Support HVAC efficiency

• Improve overall door sealing

Actual energy performance depends on the condition of the complete opening and installation.

3/4" Nylon Brush Seal

The nylon brush is especially useful on commercial doors because the individual bristles can flex independently over slightly uneven surfaces.

Benefits include:

• Low operating resistance

• Flexible contact

• Reduced drag compared with heavily compressed solid seals

• Good dust and debris control

• Suitable for frequently operated doors

Installation Notes

For the perimeter gasket:

1. Clean the head and jamb surfaces.

2. Position the gasket for consistent contact with the closed door.

3. Secure the gasketing according to the mounting preparation.

4. Confirm the door closes and latches freely.

For the brush sweep:

1. Close the door.

2. Position the sweep along the lower face.

3. Allow the brush to make light contact with the threshold or floor.

4. Secure the sweep.

5. Cycle the door several times.

Avoid excessive gasket or brush compression that could interfere with proper closing and latching.

Important Door Size Note

Select the package according to the actual door size:
