Cylinder Dogging Function

Cylinder dogging allows authorized personnel to retract the exit-device latch and secure the pushpad in the depressed position using a key-operated cylinder.

When the device is dogged:

• Pushpad remains depressed

• Latch remains retracted

• Door can be opened without operating the panic device

• Opening functions as convenient push/pull access

When cylinder dogging is released:

• Pushpad returns to normal position

• Latch extends

• Exit device resumes normal latching operation

Fire Door Warning
