Fail-Secure Operation

In its standard Fail-Secure configuration, the strike remains locked when power is removed.

When 12VDC power is applied, the strike keeper releases the latchbolt and allows the door to open without mechanically operating the lock.

The 7100 Series design can also be field converted between Fail-Secure and Fail-Safe configurations when appropriate for the application.
