Designed as an alternative to operating separate top and bottom flip-lever flushbolts, the MS1880 simultaneously projects locking bolts into both the header and threshold.

An integrated mechanical interlock works with a compatible Adams Rite MS® pivot-bolt deadlock on the active leaf, helping ensure the inactive leaf is properly secured before the active-door deadlock can be projected.

Two-Point Operation

The MS1880 controls both the upper and lower locking bolts with one operation.

Turn Clockwise 180°

Turning the operator clockwise:

• Projects the top bolt into the header

• Projects the bottom bolt into the threshold

• Secures the inactive leaf

• Clears the interlock so the active-door MS® pivot bolt can enter its strike

Turn Counterclockwise

Turning the operator counterclockwise:

• Retracts both vertical bolts

• Releases the inactive leaf

• Blocks the active-door MS® pivot bolt from entering

This interlocking sequence helps prevent the active leaf from being deadlocked before the inactive leaf is properly secured.

Mechanical Interlock

A key security feature of the MS1880 is its all-steel interlock mechanism.

The system is designed so that:

The active-door MS® pivot bolt cannot enter until the inactive leaf is secured.

Once the active-door pivot bolt is projected:

The MS1880 vertical bolts cannot be retracted.

This helps reduce the possibility of an improperly secured paired-door opening.

Important

The MS1880 is not a standalone locking mechanism.

It must be installed in conjunction with a compatible Adams Rite MS® pivoting deadlock on the active door leaf.
