Repair or service a compatible Detex Value Series V40 Rim Exit Device with the Detex SIFV-EE Delayed Egress Filler Kit.
Designed for V40 exit devices equipped with the EE delayed-egress function, this replacement fillerplate assembly is available for either 36" or 48" devices and is finished in Satin Black.
When incorporated into a complete Detex EE delayed-egress system, depressing the exit device initiates an audible alarm while the opening remains secured for the required 15-second delayed-egress period. After the delay, the door releases for egress. The alarm is approximately 100 dB, helping alert personnel and deter unauthorized exits.

How Delayed Egress Works
When an unauthorized exit attempt activates the Detex EE system:
-
The exit attempt initiates the alarm.
-
An approximately 100 dB audible alarm sounds.
-
The door remains secured during the standard 15-second delay.
-
After the delay expires, the device allows egress.
The delay provides facility personnel additional time to respond while still allowing required emergency egress.
The system must also interface with the building's fire-alarm system so the delayed locking function can be overridden during a fire emergency.
