Installation

The drip cap mounts horizontally above the exterior side of the door frame.

For proper installation:

1. Measure the opening.

2. Select a drip cap that extends beyond the opening width.

3. Position the cap level above the frame.

4. Mark the mounting-hole locations.

5. Secure the extrusion to the wall or frame using appropriate fasteners.

6. Seal the upper mounting edge where required.

7. Confirm the drip projects outward toward the exterior.

The drip cap should generally extend beyond both sides of the opening for effective water deflection.
