Provide secure two-point locking for compatible roll-up doors, overhead doors, and security screens with the Adams Rite 1875 Two-Point Deadlock.
Designed to operate two locking bolts from a single mechanism, the 1875 provides synchronized locking through connecting rods that can be configured to suit the specific door design.
A 90° rotation of the turn projects or retracts both bolt arms, while a 360° turn of the key deadlocks the mechanism to prevent operation of the turn in either the locked or unlocked position.

Two-Point Locking
The 1875 uses two bolt arms to operate remote locking points through connecting rods.
This allows one centrally located lock mechanism to secure the door at two separate locations.
Depending on the door design, these locking points may engage opposite sides, guides, jambs, or other properly prepared strike locations.
Lock Operation
Turn Operation
A:
90° rotation
of the compatible turn projects or retracts both locking bolts.
Key Deadlocking
A:
360° turn of the key
deadlocks the mechanism.
Once deadlocked, the operating turn cannot move the bolts whether they are:
-
Projected / locked
-
Retracted / unlocked
This allows the key cylinder to control whether the manual turn can operate the locking mechanism.
Mortise Cylinder Compatibility
The 1875 accepts a standard:
1" long x 1-5/32" diameter mortise cylinder
equipped with an Adams Rite MS® cam.
Compatible examples include:
-
Adams Rite 4036 Mortise Cylinder
-
Adams Rite 4066 Thumbturn
The lock can accept a cylinder from either or both sides depending on the required configuration.
Cylinder and thumbturn are sold separately.
Optional 4060 Turn
The compatible Adams Rite 4060 Turn is available separately.
The 4060 provides manual operation of the two-point locking mechanism and is available with different spindle lengths to accommodate various door thicknesses.
Bolt Arms
Bolt Arm Throw: 1-1/32"
The bolt arms are threaded for:
1/4"-20 connecting rods
This allows the locking mechanism to be connected to remotely located bolts appropriate for the specific door design.
Application-Specific Bolts & Rods
Because roll-up doors, security screens, and overhead doors vary significantly in construction, Adams Rite does not provide one universal bolt arrangement for every installation.
The following components must be selected to match the specific door:
-
Connecting rods
-
Remote bolts
-
Bolt guides
-
Strikes
These components are available separately or by special order.
Lock Case
The 1875 uses a steel lock case with corrosion-resistant plating.
Case Dimensions
Width: 1"
Height: 6"
Depth: 2-5/8"
The compact case allows installation within compatible door framing or stile construction where adequate clearance is available.
Required Internal Clearance
The bolt arms require approximately:
1-11/16" clearance on one side of the cylinder centerline
and:
1" clearance on the opposite side
Verify available space before preparing the door.
Finish
The standard 1875 lock body is supplied in:
603 – Zinc-Plated Steel
The operating trim and other accessories are ordered separately.
Special-Order Rod Assembly
A related special-order component is:
31-0278-XX – Bolt and Connecting Rod Assembly
Because dimensions depend on the specific door construction, verify required rod lengths and bolt configuration before ordering.
Common Applications
Ideal for compatible:
-
Roll-up security doors
-
Rolling grilles
-
Security screens
-
Overhead doors
-
Counter shutters
