These economical locksets use durable black satin ABS-resin escutcheons and fit the same door cutout as the all-metal Adams Rite 4189 / 4190 Flush Locksets.

Choose the 4430 when exterior keyed operation is not required or the 4431 when a flush-mounted exterior key cylinder is needed.

Sliding Door Operation

Both models use a recessed vertical slide button on the interior side.

The operator sits flush within the deeply recessed finger pull to minimize projection from the face of the door.

This design is especially useful where sliding panels must pass closely alongside:

Deadlock – No Latching Action

Important

The 4430 / 4431 is a deadlock lockset, not a spring-loaded deadlatch.

There is:

Anti-Lift Lock Mechanism

The lockset uses Adams Rite's proven adjustable sliding-door deadlock design.

Adams Rite describes the operating mechanism as based on the MS1847 Deadlock, with the supplied anti-lift lock body designated:
