The 7800 is a low-profile, surface-mounted electric strike designed specifically for compatible Adams Rite rim exit devices. Electrical activation releases the exit-device latch without requiring operation of the push bar, making it ideal for card-reader, keypad, intercom, and remote-release applications.

Its compact design features adjustable stainless steel keepers, field-selectable 12/24VDC operation, and field-selectable Fail-Secure or Fail-Safe operation.

The Adams Rite 7800 is specifically engineered to accept the unique Starwheel and Interlocking latch mechanisms used on compatible Adams Rite rim exit devices.

Compatible exit devices include:

This strike is not designed for standard Pullman-style rim exit device latchbolts.

For Adams Rite rim exit devices using Pullman-style latchbolts, consider the appropriate 74R1 or 74R2 UltraLine Electric Strike.

Fail-Secure / Fail-Safe Operation

The Adams Rite 7800 can be field configured for either operating mode.

Fail-Secure

The strike remains locked when electrical power is removed and releases when power is applied.

Fail-Safe

The strike releases when electrical power is removed.

Monitoring Options

7800 – Standard

Standard electric strike without monitoring switches.

7800L – Latchbolt Monitor

Provides monitoring to indicate when the exit-device latchbolt is engaged in the electric strike.

7800M – Fully Monitored

Provides Form C monitoring switches to indicate:

• Latchbolt engagement

• Locked / unlocked solenoid status

The monitored version is ideal for access-control systems requiring remote verification of door hardware status.
