Designed for paired-door applications, the MS1837 simultaneously projects a massive laminated MS® pivot bolt into the opposite door leaf while dropping a stainless-steel threshold bolt into the floor or threshold.

This two-point locking arrangement eliminates the need to manually operate conventional flush bolts on the inactive leaf and provides secure top-level commercial locking with a single turn of the key or thumbturn.

Two-Point Locking Operation

One complete 360° turn of the key or thumbturn performs both locking functions at the same time.

Point 1 – MS® Pivot Bolt

The heavy laminated bolt pivots into the strike located in the opposite door leaf.

Point 2 – Threshold Bolt

At the same time, the stainless-steel hex bolt drops vertically into the threshold.

This provides simultaneous horizontal and vertical locking from one control point.

Helps Eliminate Manual Flush Bolts

Traditional paired doors frequently depend on separate flush bolts to secure the inactive leaf.

The MS1837 simplifies the locking process by operating both locking points from the same cylinder.

Heavy-Duty MS® Pivot Bolt

The pivoted MS bolt measures approximately:

The bolt uses an eight-ply laminated steel construction with an alumina ceramic core designed to help resist hacksaw attack.

Stainless-Steel Threshold Bolt

The vertical threshold bolt is:

• A properly prepared opening in a metal threshold, or

• A compatible Adams Rite 4005 Strike when used with a wood threshold

Included MS Bolt Strike

Adams Rite supplies the lock with a:
