Four-Way Tenant Station Distribution

The GT-4Z converts the main GT Series tenant trunk into four individual branch connections.

Each output contains connections for:

• B1 / B2 – Video

• R1 / R2 – Audio / Data

This allows individual tenant stations to be home-run back to a centrally located GT-4Z instead of requiring every station to be looped from one residence to the next.

No Separate Power Supply Required

Aiphone's current GT Series catalog identifies the GT-4Z as not requiring a dedicated power supply.

A separate PS-2420UL does not connect directly to the GT-4Z.

The GT Series controllers and associated system equipment supply the necessary bus signals.

This differs from the GT-4ZP, which is specifically designed to distribute both video and dedicated power for compatible GT-1C7W applications.

Up to Six GT-4Z Units Per Trunk

Aiphone supports up to:

6 GT-4Z Distribution Adaptors Per Tenant / Residential Trunk

This allows multiple four-way distribution points to be connected when a larger number of tenant stations require home-run connections.

Actual station quantity remains subject to the complete GT Series system capacity and wiring-distance limitations.

SW1 Termination Switch

The GT-4Z includes an SW1 A/B termination selector.

On the last GT-4Z in a sub-trunk where the LINE OUT terminals are unused:

Set SW1 to Position A – Terminated

Termination is important for reliable GT Series bus operation.

Always follow the current Aiphone system wiring diagram when configuring multiple GT-4Z adaptors.

20 AWG: Up to 490 ft
