How the Aiphone IX-SSA Works

Visitor Communication

When a visitor presses the illuminated call button, the IX-SSA initiates communication with a programmed answering station or compatible endpoint.

The built-in microphone and speaker allow hands-free conversation without requiring a handset at the entrance.

Electronic Door Release

The station features two programmable Form C relay outputs.

When connected to compatible access-control equipment, the relay outputs can initiate the release of an electric strike, electromagnetic lock, or other appropriately designed door-control circuit.

The IX-SSA does not include an electronic lock or provide power directly to a lock through its relay contacts.

Multiple Call Destinations

The station can be programmed to contact up to 20 compatible stations, with three selectable call levels.

This provides flexibility for security desks, reception areas, administrative offices, and other designated answering locations.

Audio Recording

The IX-SSA supports onboard audio storage through a compatible microSD card.

The microSD card is not included and must be purchased separately.
