-
SIP desk phones
-
IP phones
-
SIP video phones
-
Analog telephones
-
External telephone numbers
-
VoIP telephone services
-
Traditional PSTN telephone lines

-
Security personnel
-
Property managers
-
After-hours personnel
-
Receptionists
-
Remote offices
-
Other approved telephone destinations
Outgoing routes and trunk settings are configured through the IXW-PBXA web interface.

The exact inbound calling behavior depends on:
-
SIP trunk configuration
-
Inbound routes
-
Extension programming
-
Ring groups
-
Aiphone station configuration

SIP desk phones
-
SIP video phones
-
Softphones
-
Other supported SIP endpoints
This provides enough capacity for larger commercial and campus applications.

75 Concurrent Calls
This allows multiple independent conversations to occur simultaneously within the PBX infrastructure.
Actual system performance depends on:
-
Network bandwidth
-
Codec selection
-
SIP configuration

This allows compatible Aiphone video intercom equipment to participate in supported SIP video applications.
Two FXO Ports
The IXW-PBXA includes:
2 FXO Ports
FXO ports are used to connect compatible traditional analog:
PSTN Telephone Lines
This can allow the PBX to place or receive calls through conventional analog telephone service where properly configured.
Typical applications include:
-
Existing analog telephone lines
-
Backup telephone service
-
Traditional building telephone infrastructure
Two FXS Ports
The IXW-PBXA also includes:
2 FXS Ports
These ports can connect compatible analog telephone devices such as:
-
Standard analog desk phones
-
Certain analog telephone equipment
-
Compatible legacy communication devices
The PBX supplies the analog telephone interface required by the connected device.
VoIP Trunk Support
The IXW-PBXA can communicate with external telephone networks through a compatible:
VoIP / SIP Trunk
This can eliminate the need for dedicated analog telephone lines where compatible internet-based telephone service is available.
VoIP service is obtained separately from the appropriate service provider.
SIP Trunk Configuration
Aiphone's current IXW-PBXA programming guide includes configuration for:
-
SIP trunk settings
-
Phone-line trunks
-
Extensions
-
Outbound routes
-
Multi-extension calling
The trunk provider's credentials and network settings are entered through the PBX web interface.
Outbound Routes
Outbound routes determine which calls are sent through a selected:
-
SIP trunk
-
Analog telephone line
-
Other configured telephone path
This allows different dialing patterns to be assigned to different communications routes.
Calling Multiple Extensions
The IXW-PBXA can be configured so an incoming intercom call reaches multiple telephone extensions.
This can be useful when a visitor needs to reach whichever employee or security operator is available.
Potential applications include:
-
Security teams
-
Reception groups
-
Property-management staff
-
After-hours personnel
-
Facility teams
Call Queues
The IXW-PBXA includes:

This is useful for locations such as:
-
Security centers
-
Reception departments
-
Property-management offices
-
Campus operations
-
Healthcare security desks
Voicemail
Built-in:
Voicemail
allows registered extensions to receive recorded messages according to the configured telephone-system settings.
This is useful when calls cannot be answered immediately.
Built-In Call Recording
The IXW-PBXA includes a:
Built-In Call Recording Server
Applicable calls can be recorded and stored by the PBX.
Recordings can be accessed through the:
Web Management Interface
according to system permissions.
Call recording should always be configured and used in accordance with applicable privacy and recording laws.
Call Detail Records
The IXW-PBXA maintains:
Call Detail Records – CDR
These records can help administrators review information such as:
-
Caller
-
Called extension
-
Call date
-
Call time
-
Call duration
-
Call status
This is useful for troubleshooting and administrative review.
Web-Based Programming
The IXW-PBXA is programmed through a web browser.
Aiphone's current programming guide specifies access using the unit's:
IP Address
and management port:
8089
Example format:
https://[IXW-PBXA IP Address]:8089
The actual IP address is shown on the PBX display.
Initial Login
The initial administrator password is printed on a label on the IXW-PBXA.
During initial setup, the installer is prompted to:
-
Change the administrator password
-
Enter a recovery email address
-
Complete the system setup wizard
The new credentials should be documented and stored securely.
