How the JN-1 Works

Step 1 – Prepare the Frame

Mark the approved magnetic-lock mounting locations and drill the required holes using the supplied 25/64-inch drill bit.

Step 2 – Insert the Jack Nut

Thread an M5 jack nut onto the installation tool's mandrel and insert the fastener into the drilled hole.

Step 3 – Expand the Anchor

Squeeze the installation tool handles to compress the jack nut. The fastener expands behind the metal surface, forming retaining legs that grip the frame.

Step 4 – Remove the Tool

Unscrew the installation tool's mandrel, leaving the expanded jack nut securely positioned in the frame.

Step 5 – Attach the Mounting Hardware

Install the compatible maglock mounting plate using the supplied M5 flat-head machine screws and the magnetic lock manufacturer's installation instructions.
