How the Alarm Lock 700X28 Works

1. Arming the Device

The Sirenlock 700 is armed using a compatible rim cylinder.

Turning the key extends the mechanical deadbolt, securing the exit against unauthorized entry.

The device is then ready to sound an alarm if the push bar is activated while armed.

2. Emergency Exit Activation

When someone presses the push bar, the mechanical deadbolt releases immediately.

If the device is armed, the built-in dual-tone siren sounds to alert personnel that the exit has been activated.

The mechanical release is immediate. The device does not impose a 15-second delayed-egress period.

3. Two-Minute Alarm Cutoff

When configured for automatic alarm shutdown, the siren operates for approximately two minutes after activation.

The device then checks whether the door has been closed.

If the door is closed, the siren can stop. If the door remains open, the alarm continues and the device checks again at the next interval.

4. Continuous Alarm Mode

The device can be configured to maintain the alarm until an authorized user performs the appropriate key-reset procedure.

This mode is useful where a continuous warning is preferred following unauthorized exit.

5. Key-Operated Disarming

Authorized personnel can retract the deadbolt using the compatible rim cylinder.

The device provides an audible disarming indication when the bolt is retracted with the key.
