Installation Notes

For best results:

1. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly.

2. Remove dust, dirt, grease, and loose material.

3. Measure the door perimeter.

4. Cut the smoke seal to the required length.

5. Install around the head and jambs according to the seal configuration.

6. Close the door and confirm consistent contact.

7. Verify the door closes and latches without excessive resistance.

Do not install the gasket so tightly that it prevents proper door closing or positive latching.

Fire & Smoke Door Note

A smoke seal by itself does not make a door opening fire rated.

When used on a fire- or smoke-rated opening, the selected gasketing and complete door assembly must meet the applicable listing, code requirements, and installation instructions for that opening.

Always verify the required rating before use on a labeled fire door assembly.
