CUSH / Spring Cushion Arm Application

The Prime 46 Series is available with a Spring Cushion Arm, designed for applications where additional control at the door's opening limit is required.

The CUSH Shoe Support is used with compatible cushion-arm installations to provide additional support at the shoe mounting location.

This can be particularly useful where the frame construction does not provide the preferred amount of mounting surface for the shoe.

Why Use a Shoe Support?

A cushion-arm shoe is subject to significant force as the door reaches the arm's stopping point.

Proper mounting is important to help maintain:

• Secure shoe attachment

• Proper arm alignment

• Reliable closer operation

• Stable mounting under repeated use

• Reduced stress on the frame mounting points

The shoe support provides additional reinforcement where required by the installation.

Ideal for Limited Frame Conditions

The CUSH Shoe Support can be useful on openings with:

• Narrow frame faces

• Limited mounting space

• Aluminum storefront framing

• Existing hardware conflicts

• Retrofit closer installations

• Previously modified frame preparations

• Heavy-use commercial doors

Always verify the complete closer and frame configuration before installation.
