The Trine 4850 Rim Exit Electric Strike is a heavy-duty, surface-mounted access-control solution designed for compatible rim panic and rim exit devices.

With a compact 1/2" thick profile, open latch cavity, and included spacer plates, the 4850 provides exceptional installation flexibility without requiring extensive frame cutting.

Engineered for demanding commercial applications, the 4850 delivers more than 1,500 lbs. of holding force, exceeds 1,000,000 operating cycles, and allows the installer to select fail-safe or fail-secure operation in the field.

Available in 32D Satin Stainless Steel or Dark Bronze Powder Coat.

Adjustable Installation

The Trine 4850 comes standard with:

• (1) 1/4" spacer plate

• (2) 1/16" spacer plates

These spacers can be used individually or in combination to adjust the position of the strike relative to the rim exit device.

The spacer plates can also assist as installation templates when positioning the strike.

Open Latch Cavity

Unlike strikes with restrictive backplates, the 4850 features an open cavity design that accommodates compatible rim exit-device latch throws up to 1".

This provides greater flexibility when working with different panic hardware manufacturers and exit-device configurations.

Fail-Safe / Fail-Secure

The 4850 can be configured in the field for either:

Fail-Secure

The strike remains locked when power is removed and releases when energized.

Fail-Safe

The strike unlocks when power is removed.

The correct configuration depends on the access-control design, life-safety requirements, and applicable building codes.

Important Fire-Rating Note

The standard Trine 4850 is not the fire-rated model.

For an opening requiring a fire-rated surface-mounted rim electric strike, Trine specifies the 4800F Series.
