When the device is armed and the pushpad is depressed, the integrated alarm sounds at approximately 100 dB, helping alert personnel to unauthorized exit activity. The EA system can also provide a remote signal to compatible horns, strobes, security systems, or monitoring equipment.

Available for 36" or 48" doors with a 628 / US28 Satin Aluminum finish.

EA Hardwired Exit Alarm

The EA option is designed for doors requiring a permanently powered alarmed panic device.

When the device is armed and someone depresses the pushpad:

1. The pushpad switch detects operation.

2. The integrated alarm sounds at approximately 100 dB.

3. A remote signal can be provided to compatible monitoring equipment.

The system can be used to activate or communicate with equipment such as:

• Remote horns

• Strobe lights

• Security panels

• Building monitoring systems

• Access-control equipment

Detex also allows the alarm to be remotely bypassed using compatible controls such as:

• Push buttons

• Keypads

• Card readers

• Access-control systems

Hardwired Power with Battery Backup

The EA configuration incorporates a 120VAC-to-12VAC transformer and 9V battery backup.

The hardwired power source supports normal operation while the battery provides backup capability for the alarm system.

CD – Cylinder Dogging

This configuration includes CD Cylinder Dogging.

A compatible mortise cylinder allows authorized personnel to control the device without relying on standard hex-key dogging.

On the EA configuration, the mortise cylinder is also used for alarm arming functions.

Mortise cylinder is sold separately unless specifically ordered or stated as included.
