Existing Schlage C keying must be maintained

Ordering Information
Before ordering, verify:
-
Single-cylinder or double-cylinder function
-
Schlage C or SFIC
-
Indicator or non-indicator configuration
-
Door thickness
-
Existing deadbolt preparation
-
Backset
-
Strike requirements
-
Cylinder requirements
-
Keyway requirements
-
SFIC core requirements
-

-
Fire-rating requirements
-
Applicable egress-code requirements
Important SFIC Note
An SFIC housing and interchangeable core are often separate components.
Verify whether the selected configuration is supplied:
-
With SFIC core
-
Less core
-
With temporary / construction core
This is especially important when matching an existing master-key system.
Double Cylinder Safety Note
Double-cylinder deadbolts require a key for operation from both sides.
Because this can affect emergency egress, they should only be installed where permitted by the applicable building, fire, and life-safety codes.
Never install a double-cylinder deadbolt on a required egress opening unless the complete configuration is permitted.
Fire Door Note
A Grade 2 deadbolt does not automatically make the opening fire rated.
For a labeled fire door, verify that the deadbolt, door, frame, hinges, closer, latch hardware, and complete installation comply with the required fire-door listing.
